Class Description
MAT Flow
With or without 1 or 2lb. weights, this up-beat class features variations and original mat and standing Pilates exercises as well as lesser-known Physical Culture exercises. An energetic playlist coupled with intentional and accessible movement-sequencing makes this class an easy favorite.
SOMATIC Pilates Mat
In this class, you will learn how to use Eve Gentry's Pre-Pilates and somatic exercises to refine your understanding of the original 34 Pilates exercises.
Reformer Fundamentals
Learn, breathing strategies, how to get on and off the reformer with finesse, how to execute footwork and other fundamental exercises and transitions in this class that centers Joe's original exercises, and variations by his proteges - Eve Gentry and Romana Kryzanowska.
Reformer + Step-Barrel
The first meeting is an opportunity for your instructor to hear from you and observe your movement-patterns. This process allows them to identify where focus should be placed during your upcoming sessions. Whether you're scheduling private lessons or semi-private classes, during this session we will establish rapport and through movement - a 'framework' to 'build' from.


REFORMER 1:1 Following the assessment, your instructor will create a program tailored specifically to you. Experience working on the mat and Pilates reformer while you have the full attention of your instructor and feel the difference.
PRIVATE vs. SEMI-PRIVATE
COMPREHENSIVE 1:1 Mat work, reformer, trapeze table, barrel(s), wunda-chair, high chair, baby armchair, pedi-pole, magic circle, foot-corrector, toe-corrector; these are just some of Joseph Pilates 'designs' that we utilize in studio. Get a well-rounded workout specifically tailored to your needs, in a private session.










SEMI-PRIVATE We prefer to limit class sizes to three to five people at a time. We currently offer semi-private sessions featuring, step-barrel, reformer, tower and magic circle, by appointment only. *Please see the class schedule for more details on available class times.
SOMATIC APPROACH
Our authentic, in-house approach to teaching movement combines neuromuscular-reeducation and repatterning with Somatics. We can apply this approach to any movement or embodiment practice and refine quality of movement.
